Fiber Information
The 1 cm Cuvette Sampling Bench easily connects to the 400 Series Instruments using standard SMA 905 connectors. The fiber cables are mounted in position to the holder assembly to ensure optimal alignment for sample measurements.
The fiber mounts are equipped with two permanent lenses to optimize system efficiency. The source fiber lens collimates the light path of the instrument lamps through the sample, while the input fiber lens refocuses the transmitted light onto the end of the input fiber. Permanent positioning of the lenses and fiber cables in the cuvette holder mounts ensures optimal performance with every use.
The accessory utilizes a spring loaded clamp to eliminate the possibility of cuvette damage while maintaining proper cuvette position. The standard clamp assembly is constructed of Delrin, but the customer has the option of a Teflon clamp as a more corrosive resistant option. The clamp also features a 3/8" threaded port at a right angle to the optical axis, making it suitable for fluorescence applications.
The 1 cm cuvette clamp assembly can easily be removed and substituted for a glass filter holder that accommodates 1/16", 1/8", and 1/4" thick filter samples. The customer has the option to specify other filter sized slots for application specific samples. The cuvette clamp and glass filter holder attach to the sampling bench bas using two 6/32 thread hex socket cap screws.
Unlike some traditional instruments, the cuvette sampling bench is attached externally to the spectrometer. This enables the user to easily clean any accidental sample spills that may jeopardize optical performance.
